If people want to add clothes, the fiber laser of laser marking machine, Yantai laser marking machine, Weifang laser marking machine should also pay attention to antifreeze, otherwise it will be easily damaged. Especially in extremely cold climates, fiber laser optics can develop irreparable damage. Therefore, before the cold wave hit, the senior engineer of the laser shared this winter antifreeze guide for fiber lasers, but be sure to keep it!
Basic principles and methods of antifreeze: Liquids have a 'freezing point'. When the liquid temperature is lower than this 'freezing point' temperature, it will solidify to form a solid, while the volume of deionized water or pure water will change during the solidification process. If it is too large, it will 'break' the pipeline and sealing connection of the water cooling system and cause damage. In order to avoid the damage of the fiber laser, output head and water cooler caused by the solidification of the cooling liquid, there are three solutions:
Option 1: Do not turn off the water cooler at night. Under the circumstance that there is absolutely no power outage in the local area, the water cooler is not turned off at night, and at the same time to save energy, the low temperature and normal temperature water temperature is adjusted to 5 ~ 10 ℃, to ensure that the cooling liquid is in a circulating state and the temperature is not lower than the freezing point.
Option 2: Drain the cooling liquid. Empty the cooling liquid in the laser, laser output head, and water cooler after each day's use. Refer to the following pictures for the specific cooling water emptying method and pipeline design scheme:

Before shutting down, use a water cooler to actively drain, and turn on low pressure Air drains residual water. Close the red marked valve as shown in the figure, open the yellow marked valve, and feed clean compressed air or nitrogen not higher than 0.4Mpa (within 4 kg) to point A until no water is blown out of the water outlet at point B. After Z, open the drain port of the water cooler to empty the remaining water in the water tank after Z. It should be noted that all cooling water in the fiber laser, laser output head, processing head and water cooler must be drained cleanly to effectively protect the entire water cooling pipeline and related devices!
Option 3: Use antifreeze as coolant. Antifreeze must be used when the operating environment has frequent power outages and does not have the conditions for daily cooling of the coolant. The base liquid of antifreeze is generally composed of alcohol and water, which requires high boiling point and flash point, high specific heat and conductivity, low low temperature viscosity, not easy to foam, and does not corrode metal parts, rubber hoses, etc. When selecting or preparing antifreeze, its freezing point should be 5°C lower than the lowest temperature of the operating environment.
Choice of antifreeze: 1. Use special antifreeze of professional brand, do not use ethanol instead. 2. If it is inconvenient to buy professional brands, you can also buy large bottles of car antifreeze without adding water at a nearby regular gas station or regular supply store, and use it directly for the fiber laser water cooling system. No antifreeze can completely replace deionized water and cannot be used for long periods of time throughout the year. After winter, the pipes must be cleaned with deionized or purified water, and the use of deionized or purified water as a coolant should be resumed.
